Movember

The concept behind Movember to increase awareness for men’s health issues, such as prostate and testicular cancers, and mental health. Throughout the month of November, men are growing out their mustaches for charity. During this month-long journey, participants forgo shaving to encourage conversation and raise awareness.

This year, Sink Rat David Stone is doing just that. Along with growing out an impressive stash, he has decided to donate 5% of all tips made at The Sink in November to The Movember Foundation.

“Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. The Movember Foundation is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there. As a Server at a restaurant, I’ve pledged to donate 5% of my tips and spread awareness to the guests I interact with on a daily basis.”
