The Sink’s documentary film, "The Sink: The Rest[aurant] is History," was accepted into the prestigious Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF). This marks another incredible milestone for The Sink, coming on the heels of our epic 100th-anniversary celebrations.

As we entered The Sink's 100th anniversary, we knew we had a remarkable story to tell—the tale of a Boulder institution that has stood the test of time and been the backdrop of countless memories and shared moments. 

As the current caretakers of The Sink, we felt a deep sense of responsibility to share some of the many stories that have unfolded within these walls and pay tribute to everyone who played a role in making it what it is today.

Memorial Service for Herb Kauvar: A message from G. Brown

The resulting CoME podcast will premiere as part of a memorial celebration of life being held at the Sink on Saturday, October 23 at noon, All Sink rats, Tule crew members and other Hill-era denizens are welcome to attend; commemorative “Not to be took from the Sink” t-shirts will be handed out.

From hiking Chautauqua to an adventure along the Boulder Beer Trail – with a stop at our sister restaurant, West Flanders – there’s something for everyone! Of course, they couldn’t have created The 2019 Boulder Bucket List without including a stop at Boulder’s oldest restaurant- The Sink!

Sink Legacy, Chuck Morris Signs the Wall of Fame

On February 4th, 2019, former Sink Manager and Colorado Music Hall of Fame inductee, Chuck Morris came to The Sink to sign the Wall of Fame next to his newest caricature.

Morris, alongside KBCO, was celebrated for his achievements in the Colorado music scene by being inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame presented by Comfort Dental on December 3, 2018.

The Sink Included in The Daily Meal’s Best Bars in America for 2019

The Daily Meal, a website about ‘All Things Food and Drink’, names The Sink #128 in the Best Bars in America for 2019. They’ve been compiling this extensive list since 2011. It looks like they were able to try some of our signature dishes and cocktails.

The Sink Gets Ready for a Feature on the Travel Channel

The Travel Channel is filming a new season of Food Paradise and will be featuring the ‘world-famous’ Sink restaurant’s food. They are inviting guests to come in Thursday, August 30th from 11 am-2:30 pm and “see if you’ll make it on TV!”
