Fall is upon us and Boulder is bustling with excitement. Students are moving in, tourists are soaking in what’s left of their summer vacations and residents are getting back into their routines.
Summer’s not over yet! Here are some end of the season events to check out:
Local Beer Festivals!
Did you know Colorado’s first late century craft brewery, Boulder Beer, was started in 1979 by two professors at the University of Colorado? Because Boulder has always been at the hub of craft beer culture, there is never a shortage of events featuring local breweries. Whether you’re new to town or a long-time local, these beer festivals are sure to introduce you to something new and excite your palette!
West Flanders Brewing is proud to be pouring at the Boulder Craft Beer Festival 8/18, Louisville’s Pints in the Park 9/1 and the Lafayette Brew Fest 9/8! You can look forward to stimulating your taste buds with brews like the Pomegranate Sour and Mr. Chain Blue Lightin’.
Football Season is Finally Here!
NFL preseason has already begun and with the return of students— college football! On August 31st, the CU Buffs will play the first game of their season, at Sports Authority Field, against their all-time rivals, the CSU Rams! The first home games are September 15th against the New Hampshire at 3 pm and Friday, September 28th against UCLA at 1:30 pm.
The Sink would like to invite you for a meal before or after the games! As any local would tell you, it’s tradition! We will serve food all day and have game day specials! When we win, make sure to come back for a celebratory drink with your fellow Colorado Buffalo fans! SkoBuffs!
Boulder Fall Fest
Closing out the summer festivities is Boulder Fall Fest. If you love festivals, you won’t want to miss this 3-day annual autumn celebration. It starts Friday, September 14th at 5 pm and goes until Sunday, September 16th at 5 pm on the Pearl Street Mall. Fall Fest is full of family-friendly entertainment and jam-packed with fun! Enjoy the local art vendors, children’s carnival, and invigorating live music. Once your feet start to get tired from dancing and walking through the festival’s attractions, stop by West Flanders on the west side of Broadway on the bricks. It’s the perfect place to people watch from the raised dining room or gorgeous patio while enjoying a refreshing beer with dinner.
We hope you get out and have some fun at one (or all) of these community events. The good news is, The Sink and West Flanders are both conveniently located nearby! Take advantage of quick and easy access to all of the events mentioned and more.
